🐾 Tracker’s Big Adventure
If you follow our Bessy and Friends page, you probably already know Tracker—a curious bloodhound whose nose still gets him into trouble now and then.
On Facebook, you’ll usually see a slightly older (and hopefully wiser) version of Tracker, often interacting with Callie—our snarky calico cat who always has something to say.
But this story goes back to where it all started.
This is one of Tracker’s origin stories—based on a real moment when he followed his nose just a little too far.
Bessy and Friends was named after our original spokesdog, Bessy, who started it all. Today, her spirit lives on through Tracker, Callie, Duke, and the stories we continue to share.
Tracker and Callie are “siblings” and belong to Howard, one of the founders of ASL. Duke (along with his sibling Snow) belongs to Howard’s granddaughter, Lyndsey, who lives next door—so while they each have their own homes, they spend plenty of time together.

Tracker shares a half-acre pen with his friend Duke on a 14-acre property. There’s plenty of room to explore… but being near a busy road makes staying close to home all the more important.
Together, they help tell a story about adventure, friendship, and finding your way back home.
